Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about Starkid — access, cost, safety, and the apps.
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. For step-by-step help, browse the Parents or Schools guides.
Do I need a password?
No. You log in with your phone number and a one-time code — tap Receive OTP, then enter the code and tap Submit.
Which app do I need — Parent or School?
Parents and guardians use Starkid Parent. Teachers and school staff use Starkid School.
How does my child get connected to their school?
You add your child's profile in the Parent app, then enroll them in a school. That sends an admission request the school reviews and approves. Until they approve it, your child's enrolment shows as pending. See Enroll your child in a school.
I can't see my child's posts or attendance. Why?
Most often the school hasn't approved the admission request yet, or the teacher hasn't posted/marked attendance for the day. Contact your school if the request has been pending a while.
How do teachers join a school?
Teachers register themselves in the School app and request to join using the school's School ID. A school admin then approves the request. See Register and join your school.
How much does Starkid cost parents?
The Starkid app is provided to families through their school — parents don't pay Starkid to use it. Schools use the app free; the Starkid programme (curriculum, books and supplies) is a separate offering schools can order.
How do I change my phone number?
Your number is your login, so your school updates it for you. Contact them with your new number.
Can I use Starkid without installing an app?
Yes — open parent.universicadigital.com (parents) or school.universicadigital.com (staff) in your phone's browser.
