Register and join your school
How a teacher signs up for the Starkid School app and requests to join their school with a School ID.
If you're a teacher or staff member, you register yourself and then request to join your school. An admin approves your request — there's no "add staff" form an admin fills in for you.
Steps
- Install the Starkid School app (the staff app) and open Teacher Registration.
- Enter your school code, then your phone number, then the OTP and your name.
- On the role screen, choose Teacher / Tutor / Staff and confirm Continue as Teacher?.
- On the dashboard, open Join your school.
- Under Join using School ID, enter the School ID your admin gave you — or use Or search for your school.
- On Confirm join request, tap Submit Request.
What happens next: "Your request will be reviewed by the school administrator. You'll be notified once it's approved." Until then, your dashboard shows that your request is awaiting approval.
What if it doesn't work?
- You don't have a School ID. Ask your school admin — "Ask your school admin for a School ID to join."
- The OTP didn't arrive. Check your signal, wait a minute, and request it again.
- It's still pending. Approval is done by your school admin, not Starkid. Ask an admin to review the Staff Join Requests list.
