Running your preschool on Starkid
Getting started
- Register and join your schoolHow a teacher signs up for the Starkid School app and requests to join their school with a School ID.
- Create your schoolSet up a new school on Starkid with the registration wizard: details, classes, and your first academic batch.
- Add classes and sectionsCreate academic or non-academic classes and add sections, so you can take enrolments and assign teachers.
- Approve staff join requestsReview the teachers who requested to join your school and approve or reject them.
Daily use
- Mark attendanceMark your class present or absent with a quick checkbox register, and backfill a past day if needed.
- Create a post or announcementShare announcements, photos, audio, and more with parents, choose the audience and reactions, and publish or schedule.
- Message parents and staffFind a parent, student, or colleague and start a chat from the Messages tab.
- Add events to the calendarCreate a school or class event so it appears on everyone's calendar, including parents'.
- Set up the monthly curriculumPlan a class's curriculum month by month — theme colour, academic theme, and weekly topics.
- Set up the timetableBuild a class's weekly timetable — which days are school days and the periods on each day.
